El Brillante ist ein Stop, den man unbedingt einlegen sollte, wenn man in Madrid ist. Die Auswahl auf der Speisekarte ist sehr groß - wenn man Seafood mag ist man mit dem legendären bocadillo de calamares gut beraten. Im El Brillante ist es besonders zur Mittagszeit unheimlich voll. Wer einen ruhigen Restaurantbesuch erleben möchte, ist hier eher fehl am Platze. Auch die meist ziemlich unfreundlichen und unwirschen Kellner ändern nichts daran, dass El Brillante eine der besten Tapas Bars der Stadt ist! Die Umgebung und auch El Brillante sind aufgrund der Nähe zum Bahnhof Atocha und dem Museum Reina Sofia sehr stark von Touristen frequentiert. Das "echte" Madrid erlebt man also eher woanders. Die Küche ist meiner Meinung nach dafür ausgesprochen gut. Wer nicht mal bei El Brillante gegessen hat, hat etwas sehr Elementares von Madrid verpasst!
